Alex Pearsall

Senior Systems & Services Developer

“I'm the utility infielder here at Crucial Networking, assisting George with backend code and new development systems, as well as assisting Josh with systems consulting tasks, networking, firewalls, mail servers and the like.”

I've known I wanted to work with computers since I was twelve years old.

I mowed lawns all summer, and bought my first computer when I was eleven. I taught myself UNIX, and quickly started writing code, and exploring networking. “Total Immersion” was the name of the game, and I drew interest from every bit of technology I could learn.

I worked for eight years at ESPN as a Unix Systems and Services administrator, learning about storage systems and high-tech "Big Iron" systems. In June of 2008 I joined up with Crucial Networking to expand my horizons, work with a focused team, and build actual relationships with customers, rather than just generating purchase orders, and I haven't looked back since.

Whats the best part of the job? Knowing that the systems we develop, the applications we build, and the support we give is helping our clients and customers build a dream. Nothing can put a smile on my face like a happy client watching their dream grow, and knowing that we had a little part in building it with them.
